Re-arranging

I think I found the perfect spot for the new chair!  Here are the photos: 1
In the bedroom 2!
Big chair in the study3

I am really happy with the big chair in the study...I will be re-arranging the furniture in the study when basement is finished, and I will slide the chair into the corner between the two giant windows.  So you will no longer see it from the hall.  I will use that long wall for a dresser/console/thingy for office stuff!  I don't have a dresser/console/thingy yet... I'll keep you posted...

As for the bedroom, I keep going back and forth on the big black dresser.  We love the dresser. Perfect size, quality piece of furniture...but its too dark.  So I was going to paint it white (and maybe new handles just because)...or maybe re-stain it...or maybe strip it and leave it raw with some sort of clear coat?  I really don't know right this moment, but I will be changing it.

1 Its kinda a gloomy day outside, and I couldn't get the camera to co-operate (yes, DH has shown me 1 million times how to use the camera, but I get everything all jumbled up...)...so I attempted to brighten the photos in Photoshop (yes DH has shown me 1 million times how to use photoshop, but I get everything all jumbled up.)........Can you please show me, AGAIN? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. It will be reupholstered!
3. Yes we have a huge cord running up the hallway, two of them actually...they will disappear after the basement is finished.

  1. Looks great! I like your gallery wall and your hallway wainscotting. I think you need to give us a photo tour of your house :)

I always forget how to do things in Photoshop too. So I downloaded the free actions from Pioneer Woman's blog and now I can lighten a photo with the push of a button.

  2. Thanks RR! My house is in shambles right now! Everything that is supposed to be in the basement is in my living room (including the washer, dryer and Christmas ornaments). The dining room is full of all of our new purchases intended for the basement (track lights, faucets etc....). I will try to do some more show and tell as we get things sorted!!! Stay tuned!
